n Global Works trips provide a rewarding blend of community service, cultural exchange, language learning, and adventure travel
n We remain committed to small group travel with a 5-to-1 student-to-staff ratio.
n Global Works programs allow you to see and experience a cross-section of landscapes & cultures by traveling, working and living in three different communities within a country
n The staff we hire are experienced, mature, well traveled and fun! They are adults of 23+ years who predominantly work with high school students for a living.
n Global Works' staff gets together each spring for team development and valuable training. We share and review a wealth of experiences, including safety management & procedures, effective approaches to teaching language and service learning, and team building. We also review "what if" scenarios and introduce the Global Works grassroots approach and philosophy.
n A Global Works staff member will travel with students from international departure airports.
n Our home office maintains friendly, personal communication with parents and students.
n Patient, supportive language teachers and native speakers lead our language immersion and language exposure trips.
n Language immersion trips provide fun activities and informal interviews to develop and measure language improvement
n At the end of each trip, students receive a group journal composed of memories that reflect the events and excitement of their journey.
n Global Works trips offer 50 - 80 hours of meaningful community service work with certificates of participation following the trip.
