A note regarding backpacks:
You will need either an internal or external frame pack. All of your regular gear must fit inside
this backpack and you should personally be able to carry it. An internal frame pack should have a capacity of approx. 4500 - 5500 cubic inches, and with this kind of pack, your sleeping
bag is stuffed inside rather than strapped on the outside.
The fit of a backpack is both individual and important. When selecting a backpack there is no
substitute for the expert advice available at your local outdoor store.
